Types of Installations

What's an Installation?

Ceremony arches, alter backdrops, aisle flowers and more. Pretty much any flower display that will make a statement. There are so many different ways to style an installation. Currently, grounded installations are trending, meaning an arrangement that sits low, or on the floor. Another classic, is a hanging installation that can highlight a headtable, ceremony backdrop and more.

Unpopular Opinion

Consolidating your flowers into one dramatic display will make the most visual impact and is always a memorable focal point. We also love them, because when they're built in modular segments, they can be easily moved and repurposed throughout your event. If you’re on a tight budget, I typically prefer styling one large install compared to multiple bouquets and centerpieces as they tend to be a focal point for photos, and your overall guest experience.

Things to consider

  • How many flowers do I have to designate to an installation piece?

  • What part of my event do I want photographed most, how can I incorporate it into that?

  • How can I repurpose the install throughout the event

  • Who can I designate to move the installation pieces throughout the event?

  • Does the venue have restrictions?

  • Is the space indoors or outdoors?

  • Will I need extra weight or securement points for the wind?

  • Is there a specific wall, staircase, fireplace, piano, arch or feature within the venue I want to highlight?

  • How much time is there for setup?

  • Is there enough room in the designated vehicle to transport everything?
